Dude, did you just quote me?

There's a line on one of the episodes of Red vs. Blue that goes something like "You have a weblog?- Yes, it's great. it's just like being a real journalist, but without the pressues of time or accuracy".

Generally I don't feel like that. I've got to the stage where in my mind this blog is just a diary I can make entries to by typing. Somehow I can look at my counter statistics and see Pakistan highlighted and I just think "Oh, Pakistan". In fact, since I first got that counter I've only really felt as if I have readers twice, and both times were from friends. Just this morning, in the event that prompted this post, I saw that a friend of mine had changed their MSN screen-name to include a quote- and it was taken from this blog. Now, that strikes me as really surreal, but I have no idea why.

The other occasion was the New-Years reunion for veterans of the Argentiere volunteer-workcamp, when I found out that a previous post of mine is being used as an 'Advanced Exercise' in English lessons in a school near Warsaw.

Now that's surreal.
