Post 101

So here it is: I'm back in Blighty. I'm back in Windows ME, pining for Mac. I'm back on dial-up, wondering why there are still internet servers apparently run on steam. I'm back in WordPad, wondering where the next paragraph is going to come from.

Ho hum.

As you may or may not have guessed, my heart isn't really in this tonight. As such, I want to offer you my now traditional cop-out: links.

The Illustrated Beowulf
This may be one of my favourite flowers of the internet age. It also ties into the fact that while in Paris, I read a novel called "Grendel". If I was to write a one-word review, it would be "english-student-y", but nonetheless it has made me thoughtful. I've always thought Grendel was an intruiging figure. You can get a little bit academic with Part V: Parallels between the Scandinavian Draugr and Beowulf's Grendel.
Once you've done that, you might want to cool off with some Led Zepplin.
