Laser Eyes

If they put it in a film, you'd think it far-fetched. "It" is a way of projecting a laser image onto the retina so that it appears to float at about arm length.

I was delighted to read that article and find it's being primarily used by Honda technicians so they don't have to look away from the engine to look at a manual. It's a prime example of how I expect the world to work. That's one of the reasons I liked Minority Report: it's a world that has new technology, but the first murder they investigate is a jealous husband, a theme right out of the African trees.

You can bet that if we ever invent a matter transmitter, we'll use it to make more efficient toothpaste tubes.
