iDesire

Everywhere I go, I see people with iPods.

I do not own an iPod. I cycle everywhere and rarely have time on my hands. I don't jog, drive, or stand in a lot of queues. Any kind of portable music device is uneccesary to my lifestyle.

I burn with desire for an iPod.

I don't care that it's totally superfluous. I don't care that even a refurbished model would put me past my overdraft limit. I want one.

I don't want you to have the impression that I'm a Mac fiend. Yes, I have an iBook of which I'm very fond. I defy anyone to say that Apple products don't have style, if nothing else.

Proof: They are white.

Incontrovertible.

There's some facet of my character showing through here, like a flaw in a crystal, I know. I accept the ridiculous nature of my craving and laugh it off. But please, you legions out there... couldn't you buy some black earphones to help me ignore you?
