Missive from a nightmare world

There are two reasons I'm not blogging much these days.

1) Finals are in a few weeks, and thus far I've been riding the "I can do it later" train, passing through After Lunch, Lake Complacent and West Idleburg.

In light of that, dear readers, I'm going to be blogging no more than twice a week, say Mondays and Fridays. Those will be short blogs, maybe written on the back of picture postcards from Work Cave Junction.

2) The Mail Crash continues unabated: while I can obviously log on, I'm in the screaming uplands of the 600 megs. Things are far from normal around here, and my vain attempts to 'delete cache' are as effective as saying the rosary is for that character in war films who's always getting made into jam despite his promising career and beautiful wife back home.

The college computer administrator hasn't got back to me yet. I'm going to put another note in his pigeonhole, but in the meantime I think I'll try another foray into Mail. I can only kill the beast from within.

I may be some time.
