Crazymad? Yes, it is.
I want to apologise to you all for totally failing to blog these last few days. Don't think that this is going to turn into a site where I weekly posty a new apology for not posting though, no indeed. I have an excuse.
Last week was 0th week (the week before the first week of term) and it was also the Monday when I turned over a page in my diary and said, "Oh, it's for then. "It" in this case being no less than four sets of vacation work or, in other terms, work that was meant to take me six weeks. Further, it's 17:38 and I have recently left my second exam today. My stomach is full of the aftertaste of adrenaline and absence of food*. My right hand has the shooting pains of shame at not being able to work the thermal diffusion equation. Or, you know, cramp.
* I defend this construction. It's no worse than saying that open windows "let the cold in".
So that's why I haven't been writing in a blog. The future looks marginally rosier for quality internet time.
Now I'm going home to get me some relaxation. I own a Mac iBook, which after expriring it's warranty a few months ago, developed a display fault. In the end, I'm told a software restore (which you can do at home) would have fixed the problem. How you're meant to do that when you can't see what ought to be on the screen is anyone's guess... ESP, perhaps. Anyway, a few days ago it came back from TCSS where it had been spending a week complaining about the food and sitting in sanitary green baths. My immediate reaction was to turn it off and put it on top of my wardrobe, where it has been roosting since. The CDs of Caesar III and Civilisation III have been looking down on me reproachfully from their shelf ever since.
Anyway, now I'm off home for food, absense of adrenaline and absense of thermal diffusion equations. Next week looks rosier for posts. I have a few good 'uns brewing up inside me.
